The account manager leads both accounts and projects to create solutions that drive results from our clients. They lead a multi-disciplinary team and guides their efforts through the entire life cycle of various projects and integrated communications programs.


• Manage and deliver projects and programs that are on time, on budget and on strategy for clients and profitable for our client
• Manage the complete project lifecycle, from small websites, social media initiatives, print and video projects to integrated communications programs and campaigns.
• Proactively manage, under a lead strategist or manager’s supervision, all tactical aspects of the project: scope, issues/risks, schedule, budget, quality, communication, team and client relationship.
• Work collaboratively with the client and project team, and under a lead strategist or manager’s supervision, to develop communications plans, identify key deliverables, create timelines, write creative briefs and assign responsibilities.
• Work closely with the client, project team and lead strategist/ manager to define project/program requirements, recommend the appropriate approach and solution, and develop an accurate proposal/scope of work and budget estimate.
• Develop strong internal relationships with creative and production team members and external firms, such as public relations and media partners. Lead, motivate and foster a cohesive, collaborative working relationship within multi-disciplinary teams and partners to ensure the efficient development of metrics-driven, integrated programs.
• Set and communicate objectives, priorities and key project details to the project teams and manage teams to those directives. Resolve priority conflicts and resource allocation issues with creative/production team leaders with input and guidance from the lead strategist/ manager.
• Schedule and lead project meetings, clearly communicating agenda, objectives and results of meetings to all participants.
• Track and report on progress of projects. Under the guidance and supervision of the lead strategist/manager, identify issues or actions required in order to ensure on time, on budget delivery of projects.
• Manage project profitability and timelines, and keep the lead strategist/manager and other team members informed of changes.
• Clearly communicate to management issues that may affect scope, budget or timeliness of project delivery.
• Responsible for project administration such as project setup; documentation, including project plan, charter, status reports, change orders and resource requests; collecting and managing client assets, ongoing project financial analysis; time and expense approval; and client invoicing.
• Review, test and proof deliverables prepared by team before presentation to the client.
• Ensure the team consistently meets and/or exceeds the client’s expectations and the client approves all deliverables.
• Build professional relationships with clients at all organizational levels while ensuring ongoing client satisfaction. Serve as the day-to-day contact for client stakeholders and decision makers.
• Work with the client and under the supervision of the lead strategist/manager to define project/program performance metrics and expectations and establish monitoring and reporting requirements. Regularly and proactively review results and, with input and approval from the lead strategist/manager, propose actions, adjustments and improvements, as needed.
• Conduct periodic meetings with clients to review progress, strategy, satisfaction and new needs.
• Remain current on the client’s business, marketing and competitive environments. Use this knowledge to propose new services and add-on initiatives that will help clients grow.


• Degree in marketing, communications or related field of study.
• Three-to-five years of experience managing interactive projects and the development of communications programs through the entire project lifecycle, including planning, execution, reporting, budgeting, implementation, deployment, measurement and maintenance.
• Experience managing projects and programs with a metrics-driven digital marketing emphasis and use of web technologies, optimization and mobile applications.
• Experience working with clients and internal strategists/managers to develop communications plans, creative briefs and professional communications.
• Experience setting and communicating priorities to project teams, while managing multiple, fast-paced projects simultaneously.
• Client-centric work ethic and ability to foster a sense of teamwork among project team members and the client.
• Strong leadership potential and the ability to motivate and foster teamwork.
• The professionalism, confidence and attention to detail necessary to earn the respect of client executives, peers and project team members.
• Experience balancing the client’s goals, objectives, opportunities, and challenges while maintaining JPL’s best interests.
• An ability to develop and foster long-term client relationships resulting in high client satisfaction, professional references and repeat business.
• Disciplined in monitoring clients’ performance metrics and their business, marketing and competitive environments. An ability to use this knowledge to offer strategic counsel and propose new services and add-on initiatives that will help clients grow their businesses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
