  • Overview

    TecPort Solutions is an 8A firm, with a multi-year contract in Montgomery with DISA. They are looking to add 6 to 7 Network Operation Technicians to their team.  The work would include assisting the infrastructure operations and ecosystem residing in Montgomery

    Responsibilities

    Job duties may include, but will not be limited to:
    - Assisting the System Administrators with IP address assignments and switch port configurations on existing and new workstation/server installations
    - Assisting the Lead Network Engineer in developing and implementing Information Technology (IT)/Network plans
    - Managing network operations using simple network management protocol (SNMP) network management tools
    - Diagnosing and troubleshooting network problems with network protocol capture/decode analyzers
    - Planning and building networks from open systems interconnect (OSI) Layer 1 through Layer 3
    - Managing TCP/IP internetworking connectivity to include addressing and sub-netting
    - Monitoring network traffic to ensure key devices are active and free from errors
    - Installing, configuring, updating, and documenting the physical cable plant
    - Installing, configuring, updating, and documenting network hardware (switches, routers, media converters, etc.)
    - Installing, configuring, managing, and documenting network security (firewalls, access control lists, virtual private networks (VPNs), etc.)
    - Serving as the primary point of contact for network engineers from the office of the CIO, and other IT organizations external to the Sponsor's laboratory

    Qualifications

    - Must have at least an active Secret Clearance

    - Top Secret Clearance preferred

    - Security+ and A+ strongly preferred
